Overview

The Shift is method haircare's celebration of the transformational power of hair—the moment when a simple routine becomes a confidence boost and you suddenly feel ready to show up differently. Built around the idea of turning everyday rituals into moments of self-expression, the campaign brought that emotional transformation into the real world through a bold, playful and unmistakably method experience.

To launch the campaign, Grand Central's Vanderbilt Hall was transformed into an immersive haircare experience in the heart of New York City. For one day, the energy of one of the city's busiest transit hubs shifted into a vibrant, multi-sensory salon and brand world, inviting commuters to stop, engage and experience their own transformation. The activation featured live wash and styling sessions with celebrity hairstylist Rubi Talavera, an appearance by creator Monet McMichael, wig walls, capsule toy vending machines, exclusive giveaways and tousle, a collectible hair zine inspired by NYC hair culture. More than 2,000 guests experienced the activation throughout the day. PR Newswire

The experience extended beyond Vanderbilt Hall through a campaign presence across the surrounding transit environment, creating a visual takeover that carried The Shift from the physical activation into the everyday movement of New York City.
